PGH Bricks & Pavers Queensland have donated Crevole bricks to one of our major customers, Plantation Homes to help build their gift to the Mater Foundation, House4life.
The Mater Foundation is the community and philanthropic arm of the Mater. It harnesses community support for Mater Health Services and the mater Medical Research Institute.
Babies like twins, Sarah and Madison Pepper, who were born at the Mater Mothers' Hospital 15 weeks early when their mother Deborah was admitted to hospital with pre-eclamptic toxaemia. The twins had a combined weight of just over 1kg.
Sarah and Madison spent three months in the Mater Mothers' Hospital Neo-natal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) fighting for their lift. Thanks to round-the-clock care, the twins have flourished and celebrated their first birthday last month.
Every year staff at the Mater Mothers' Hospital's NCCU provide life-saving care for 2,000 critically ill babies - some as young as 24 weeks gestation and weighing less than 500 grams.
The Plantation Homes House4life at North lakes is raising funds to help care for some of the littlest Queenslanders.The double storey, 4 bedroom home is 43 squares of clever design, and is located right on the golf course at North Lakes.
The Plantation Homes House4Life at North Lakes will be auctioned on Saturday - 13th June 2009. All proceeds from the auction will help purchase state-of-the-art equipment for NCCU and ensure that every baby who needs it will receive the Mater's exceptional care.
